Silva is one of Goro's major rivals trough the series. He was first introduced during the World Cup arc, when he arrived in L.A alongside Sanchez. During his first appearances, he underestimated Goro and the Asian players, saying that they didnt have enough physical power to defeat him. After his match against the All Japan team where he confronted Goro, he started to respect them and put Goro as his main rival.
