Sanders (first name unknown) is one of Goro's teammates on both the Memphis Bats and the Indiana Hornets. He was first introduced in season 4, during the Minor League arc.
Appearance[]
Sanders is an old muscular man with a big moustache. Because of his appearance and loud voice, his teammates nicknamed him "Sargent".
History[]
He's been on the minors for ten years, dreaming with the Bats winning the championship. After Goro joined the team, Sanders told him about his dream and Goro decided to help him realize his dream. At the end of Season 4, the Bats won the Minors championship and Sanders was very pleased with that.
He appears at the beginning of MAJOR: The Winning Shot of Friendship, alongside Alice Jinnai, saying goodbye to Goro at the airport, after the end of the Minor League season.
He returns on season 6, where he tells Goro he has retired but accepted an offert to be a bullpen catcher at the Indiana Hornets, where Goro is now playing for.

He is one of only seven characters to be a teammate of Goro in more than one team. The others are: Jeff Keane, Kellog, Roy, Dunston, Daisuke Komori and Toshiya Sato.
