At the bottom of the 3rd, the game is still 1-0 for Kaido. Goro strikes out Ichihara and Kusano reaches the 3rd base. Tokashiki is at bat, Goro makes a trick play and eliminates Kusano, but Tokashiki gets a base. Yakushiji makes a hit and reaches the 1st base, while Tokashiki reaches the 3rd. Toshiya's strategy with Kusano and Yakushiji for Goro's pitching is explained. With that, Toshiya scores a 3-run home-run. Goro eliminates the 5th batter. The 3rd inning ends with Kaido winning by 4-0. Goro tells Tashiro that only Yakushiji, Sato and probably Kusano are aware of his "confront" pitches. At the top of the 4th, Uchiyama and Goro are eliminated, Tashiro gets a base by walk. Ichihara commits an error because of the rain and Fuji hits. Fuji reaches the 1st base and Tashiro reaches the 3rd. Hattori is hit by a dead ball and gets another base. With the full bases, Miyazaki is at bat, but the match is stopped temporarily because of the heavy rain. As the rain starts to decrease, the match starts again, with Miyazaki at bat. Miyazaki hits, reaches the first base, and Tashiro scores a run. The count is 4-1 for Kaido now.
