Pitching Battle! is the 69th episode of the MAJOR anime and 17th episode of the 3rd season. It was aired on April 28, 2007.

Summary[]
At the day of the match, Tashiro is angry about the line up, who puts Goro and him as the 1st and 2nd batters, respectively. Meanwhile, Katori confronts Goro at the bathroom. After that the match starts. At the top of the first, Goro is at bat, waiting for Katori's slider. In order to confuse Goro's timing, Katori pitches a changeup and Goro hits it to the outfield, but is eliminated. After that, Katori strikes out Tashiro and Fuji, ending Seishu's attack. At the bottom of the 1st inning, Kuriyama starts attacking. Takigawa, the first batter, gets a base. As Goro confronts the 2nd batter, Takigawa gets another two bases. Goro strikes out Katori and Karasawa, ending the 1st inning without any scores. The game continues without any scores until the 6th inning. At the top of the 7th, Katori finally confronts Goro with his slider and strikes him out. At the bottom of the 7th, Katori gets a base and Karasawa scores a 2-run home-run. Goro's foot infiltration starts to lose its effect.
