Summary[]
Toshiya's home-run ties in the game in a 1-1. The Kaido varsity team scores a run in the eight inning. Mayumura enters and gains a base, after that Goro makes a 2-run home-run. The junior team wins by 3-2 and Goro leaves Kaido.
Manga and Anime Differences[]
As Toshiya's solo home-run only tied the game, Enomoto joins as a pitcher; in the manga, however, Sakuraba closes the game and Enomoto never enters the field. As such, Mayumura also didn't participate in this match in the manga version. Furthermore, as the episode ends with the match's closing, Ch. 290 was cut from the anime adaptation.
