The Island of Dreams is the 40th episode of the MAJOR anime and 14th episode of the 2nd season. It was aired on March 18, 2006.

Summary[]
Goro, Toshiya, and many other players are going to the Island of Dreams, there they meet Inui and Suo, the coaches that will put them in a hard training program.
Manga and Anime Differences[]
The bus ride scene from chapters 209 and 210 is ommited from the anime version. Goro's fight with Kodama from chapter 211 is also ommited. The running training from chapter 212 was also cut from the anime. A small scene where Goro asks Kodama and Kokubu to play catch with him from chapter 215 was also ommited. Only one page from chapter 218 was adapted, the rest was cut.
Trivia[]
The V2 of the opening theme plays for the first time this episode and continues on until the episode 52. The V2 replaces the Seibukan batters and Katori and Karasawa by the Kaido players. This version also changes Toshiya from his Tomonoura outfit to his Kaido outfit.
