Manga and Anime Differences[]
The third test, an eating contest, was cut in the anime. As such, in the manga, 106 people survived the second test. Subsequently, only 40 people survived the eating contest. As the anime adaptation cut the entire third test, only 40 people survive the second test in the anime version.
