The Scouting Conspiracy is the 32nd episode of the MAJOR anime and 6th episode of the 2nd season. It was aired on January 21, 2006.

Summary[]
Mifune's second match is against Seibukan, who focuses on their three Senior League batters. The Kaido scouter's are watching the game just to see said batters, but as Goro strikes them out and makes a no-hit no-run game, they turn their attention to Goro. After Goro refuses the offer to be a scholarship student because of Toshiya, the scouter meets up with Toshiya and tells him that he will not get a scholarship, and that Goro will be the one to get it. Toshiya goes crazy after his encounter with the scouter and calls Goro to challenge him.
Manga and Anime Differences[]
The first scene from chapter 159 takes place one day before the Seibukan match, and shows the Mifune East players (minus Goro) training, after that, Goro shows up to demonstrate the current state of his pitching prowess. This scene was entirely cut in the anime adaptation. A small scene from chapter 160 taking place during the demonstration was also cut out from the anime. A very small scene from chapter 162 was also cut, where the Seibukan Batters say they are going to the same place as Goro (Kaido). However, these characters are never shown again in neither anime nor the manga. During Oonuki's scouting session at Tomonoura's match, in the manga version, Oonuki talks to him with his partner. In the anime version, Oonuki talks to him alone, however, the scene plays out the same way it did in the manga.
