Goro returns to Japan and starts thinking about leaving the baseball. After playing a game with all his teammates, Goro regains his will and returns to America.
Manga and Anime Differences[]
As Goro never returns to Japan before the chapter 706 in the manga, this episode is almost entire filler. Only his encounter with his teammates and the conversation with Shimizu were adapted from chapter 617.
