Summary[]
Goro re-encounters Sanchez at the airport
The second round of the World Cup starts. The Japan opponents will be Venezuela, Korea and the Dominican Republic, respectively. As Shimizu arrives in Los Angeles, she encounters Silva, one of the Venezuela players. Goro and Sanchez appears thereafter. Silva tells Goro that the Japanese dont have physical strength enough to defeat them.

The first match of the U.S group stage from this episode isn't shown in the manga. Furthermore, the adaptation also expanded Gibson's illness storyline.
