Summary[]
Hikaru and Mutsuko pay a vistit to Daigo
Daigo and Hikaru officially join the Mifune Dolphins. On their first day training, they meet Andy and Urabe, the Dolphins' battery. They challenge Daigo and Hikaru to a game, but are interrupted as soon as they begin. However, Hikaru manages to hit Urabe's pitches in his first turn at bat, impressing both him and Andy. When the actual training starts, Tashiro tests Hikaru's pitching. He fails, but asks for one more chance before the Little League tournament begins. On sunday, Hikaru and Mutsuko visit the Shigeno household. There, Hikaru tests his pitching while Daigo helps him. As the training goes on, Daigo assumes the catcher position briefly for Hikaru. Then, Hikaru tells Daigo that since he has no prefered position, he should play as the catcher. This way, they can challenge Andy and Urabe again, and this time, as a battery.
Manga and Anime Differences[]
In the manga, Daigo tells the story of how he recovered his glove to Kaoru. In the anime, he tells it to Hikaru instead.
