Summary[]
The tournament bracket
After losing the practice match against the Fuurin Baseball club, Akira Nishina and his cronies say they won't to the daily training, since they are waiting for the Nayou Lions coach to join Fuurin, since he promised them to do so. On the same day, the Nanyou Lions coach cuts all connections with both Fuurin and Nishina's group. Nishina's cronies give up on Fuurin, but he can't do the same, since he is a scholarship student. After that, the baseball club receives two new recruits, Anita and Chisato. As Anita was the regular catcher for the Yokohama Little, Daigo points her as the regular catcher for Fuurin, angering Mutsuko. Daigo encourages Mutsuko to form a battery with Anita. The day after their entrance, Fuurin's baseball club advisor, Yamaguchi, announces that now that the club has the minimum amount of members, they were elegible for participating in the Middle School tournament. She proceeds to show Daigo the tournament bracket and tells him it will begin in two weeks.
